Three Peaks Equestrian Mountain Trail Course, Cedar City
The Three Peaks Mountain Trail Challenge Course is a world-class obstacle course designed by Mark Bolender. This one-of-a kind equestrian course, located at the three Peaks Recreation Area west of Cedar City, is open to the public and was funded by a grants from Iron County, the Utah Outdoor Recreation Grant, Recreation Trails Program and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) . Mark & Lee Bolender are the founders of the “International Mountain Trail Challenge Association” (IMTCA) which was formed to promote the sport of Mountain Trail. Mark is a master course designer and has designed and built Mountain Trail courses throughout North America and abroad. These courses are premier sites and used by beginners and highly advanced riders alike, and are designed for clinics, shows, and training.

Organized events may require a Special Recreation Permit so please contact the BLM Cedar City Field Office at (435) 865-3000.
COURSE ACCESS & GENERAL ETIQUETTE:
-Equestrian Use Only
-Trailer Parking is allowed in the designated parking area. No vehicles or trailers are allowed on the course.
-Horses may be tied to the post/rail fence on the perimeter of the course or at your trailer. Do not tie horses to any obstacles, trees, signs, corrals, or other structures.
-Please muck manure from the trail course and parking area back into YOUR trailer to help keep the site clean.
-Ride with respect and share the course.
-Helmets are encouraged, especially for youth under the age of 18.
RESTRICTIONS:
-Do not add or take away from any of the course obstacles.
-Water is limited in this environment. BLM will attempt to maintain water in the water box; however if you notice there is no water in it, please fill it using your own buckets or don't ride in it without water.
-The Pond may only be filled with water on occasion. Do not attempt to fill the pond. If the pond does not have water please do not ride in the pond to protect the grids and liner from damage if exposed.
-Do not use the trail course during adverse weather conditions such as mud or snow that may damage the integrity of the course.
-No Horse Carts.
-No Vandalism (i.e. graffiti, destruction of obstacles, removal of obstacles, throwing axes or sharp objects any where in the vicinity.
