About the event
We will be trimming back and cleaning up the Duncan Springs Trail. Those without horses will hike 1/2 mile to cut back sage brush and rake out the trail, hikers will need rakes/shovels/hoes and pruners. Those joining with horses will ride approximately 1 and 1/2 miles and cut back the encroaching scrub oak with pruners and hand saws at three separate sections of trail where it is needed. The terrain is a little rocky in some areas than dirt and sand.
You will need to bring and pack in your own tools. Please wear a long sleeved shirt, gloves to protect your hands and wear a hat. You may want to wear chinks if you have them. Pack a lunch, the chapter will provide water bottles at the trailhead. Please arrive early so we can give directions and begin work at 10:00 am.
If you have questions, please contact DeAnn…
