Red Mountain Trailhead is locted off UT Highway 18. Please be saddled and ready to ride by 10:00 am and bring a lunch.
Red Mountain Trail is a very popular Southern Utah ride that gives you two extraordinary overlook views of Snow Canyon State Park from the northern end. Distance is 7 miles/ 3 hours and is rated easy/moderate with some sandstone and one "semi-technical" climb, but is very doable for most riders. Footing is sandy and hard pack with some sandstone (slick rock). One swing gate, and three stepovers. The trailhead parking lot is HUGE with lots of pull-through trailer parking and can accommodate trailers of nearly any size.
Directions to trail head from St George, Utah: Take Bluff Street north to Highway SR-18, travel 12 miles, then turn left onto Red Mountain Trail.
