About the event
The Navajo Lake Loop Trail is a beautiful winding trail that provides great views of this naturally occurring lake formed by ancient lava flows. This 11.5 mile loop trail rides through pine trees and aspen stands and takes you on a lovely winding path through the ancient lava flow at the east end of the lake. This trail is high altitude at 9,000+ ft, hard packed w/ some rocky sections and is rated easy. Your equine will need to be in good condition for the higher altitude and desensitized as this trail is popular for both hikers and bicycles. Expect four hours in the saddle with a lunch break. There is the option to add another mile if we take the Spruces Trail (when clear of downfall) to the Virgin River Rim Trail for spectacular views of Pink Cliffs and Zion National Park.
