The Snake Gulch trail from the Kanab Creek Trailhead #59 near Jacob Lake, Arizona is a 14-mile out and back trail offering numerous red, white and yellow pictographs decorating the cliffs on both sides of the long gulch. Being an out-and-back ride, you can make the ride as long or short as you want. The first petroglyphs/pictographs are about 2 miles from the trail head. There is a water trough at about 7 miles, last year it was washed out and too difficult to try to get horses to it. Trail is exposed with no shade, please bring a hat, plenty of water and pack a lunch.
